Secret message II

Ok, the eggs are laid. This blogger weblog now shows up in Ugo's referer list. This is fun :-). I can leave crumbs in other weblogs that point back to here. So even if no-one points to your weblog you can get them interested by "indirectly" leaving crumbs in the referer logs.

Secret message

Here is a secret message for Ugo. Does his Cocoon blog handle referers? Quick - check. Seems to - there is a list at the bottom. I need to get VIMB up there so he notices.

Anyway - tomorrow is the day we start to bootstrap the sunBow (a Cocoon IDE in case you are interested) community. It will be a quiet rollout tomorrow - via the Weblogs only. And then we'll see what happens. Eventually sunBow will become some form of commercial offering - but for now the preview versions will be free to download. They will eventually expire.

Cocoon Portal - New look and Radio!

Here is a screenshot of a different Cocoon portal look. We will be presenting this new look at Jax2002. In the example, only the stylesheet was redesigned. Notice that there is now also a coplet that will let you select from a predefined list of Radio Weblogs in RSS. Once selected the Weblog will be fetched each time you login. We are using a RadioTransformer to filter out some of the escaped tags that Radio includes in the tag.

If you want to see the screenshot in better quality then just copy the image from this page and paste into a graphics program.

Next run

After my fantastic time in the last 10K race - I will be running again on the 10th May. Another local 10 K race and a lot smaller - so I will probably be last. Trouble is that I haven't done anything the last couple of weeks and only managed 4 K before collapsing (nearly) last Wednesday.

Natural Born Killers?

An ex pupil (19) walked into a school in Erfurt Germany today and killed 18 people. 14 teachers, 2 staff and 2 pupils. He was dressed totally in black and pissed off at being thrown out of the school a couple of months ago. And you thought this only happened in the US. Think again.

Currently reading: Small pieces loosely joined, by David Weinberger who also writes: JOHO the Blog. If you are looking for something on the Web that you can read without loosing yourself in all the hyped up stuff - then this is for you. Read The Cluetrain Manifesto (co-authored by David) - first. Even if you are think you knew everything about the Web (like I did) - these books will surely affect the way you see it and open your eyes.

Merchandising!

Made 2 T-Shirts with the book cover on today. Now that the book is up on Amazon it's time for ....

YOGURT: Merchandising. Come. I'll show. Open up this door. Ha, ha, ha, come. Walk this way. Take a look. We put the pictures name on everything. Merchandising. Merchandising. Where the real money from the movie is made. Spaceballs - the T-shirt, Spaceballs - the Coloring Book, Spaceballs - the Lunch box, Spaceballs - the Breakfast Cereal, Spaceballs - the Flame Thrower.

DINKS: Ooooooo.

YOGURT: The kids love this one. Last, but not least, Spaceballs - the Doll. Me.

So watch this space for ...

Snoring

As I write this, Nicolas (3) is asleep and snoring here on the couch. Even though we have a bedroom for each of our 3 children they would rather all sleep in one room (makes you sick - doesn't it?). Anyway today is the last day of Easter holidays so all the children went off with Claudia to a day at a sort of "it a'nt quite Disneyland" park near Hannover. Of course they all came back "kaputt". Well all, except little Nicolas who decided sleeping wasn't yet for him. So I brought him down and let him fall asleep on the couch. Aahhhh.......
